We believe it is very important for people to know where and how the food they consume is produced. The easiest way to do that is to have a relationship with the people who produce your food. Field 51 wants to provide that for you. We want you to come to the farm and see the peppers in the field before you eat them and to know they are grown in a responsible way. We use only natural fertilizers and insect controls. All our plants are started here on the farm from organic or heirloom seeds.
To make it easier to establish a personal relationship with our customers we offer our products in a weekly share system. This system is commonly called a CSA, or Community Supported Agriculture. The Idea is simple enough- for a fee you receive a weekly portion of what we harvest. As a member of the CSA you can make suggestions about what we produce, you can come to the farm and work with us, or just come out and see how we operate. The goal is for you to be knowledgeable about the food you consume.
